Adrian Kiger is a native of Morgantown and has dabbled in wearable and useable art throughout her lifetime. Her ‘Glam Gloves for Domestic Divas’ are a perfect example of her flair for life and design. If you haven’t seen them you should and if you don’t have a pair, shame on you. Marty Ferguson is a resident of Morgantown who does really amazing hand painted and felted scarves. Marty will also be showing some of her weavings. Gabe DeWitt is from Preston County and is already well known for his incredible photography. He most recently was awarded the Best Outdoor Photo in the Morgantown Adventure Photo Contest. Arts Monongahela Award-winning quilts will be on display at the Jackson Kelly Gallery at Arts Monongahela. Linda Jones will be doing a demonstration of quilting techniques. Susan Ting works with porcelain clay that she hand carves after the pieces are thrown on the wheel. Leaves and nature are often seen in her carvings, with the Ginkgo leaf being a favorite motif. The prints that will be on display include techniques such as silkscreen, lithography, relief and intaglio. The students represented in this show are raising money to attend an International Printmaking Conference in Chicago. My work is a reflection of what I perceive in life. Each piece depicts a scenario or choice in life that anyone could experience. The pictures I create are on regular art paper and drawn with a graphite pencil. Lynn Lysick’s creative process continually leads her into new directions. Gino DeRosa recently graduated in May of 2008 from West Virginia University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts and Teaching Certification for Art K-Adult. These paintings are a series of his exploration of circuit boards and their interaction with light. Leann Arthur is a Junior news editorial journalism major at WVU. Her background is in mostly journalistic and documentary photography, having worked for The Dominion Post and WVU Photographic Services.
